September 2nd 2010:Hi, new month and a new newsmail. I've added a variety of good stuff, from old classics to rare wants. I've recently thought about modifying the discount ladder so take the chance and make use of the greatest (?) discount system in the business... electronically yours, jesper --- older news: --- August 2nd 2010: "August moon's surrender to a dust cloud on the rise..." I know many of you are back from holidays now. Take the chance to escape the sun and browse through the juicy vinyl and shiny discs at Electronic Obsession. Remember that there's money to save by placing larger orders. Check the discount offer on the homepage. electronically yours, jesper --- July 1st 2010: Summertime... Between the standard summer activities I've rested inside in the shade and added many new items for you electroheads and collecting maniacs out there. This month's update includes many CD-maxis with Erasure (happy 50th birthday Vince... two days early!) and others. Along with these are many 7" singles I've dug out of storage and also some 12" goodies to go with them. More to come next month I hope. But now I need you to help me clear space for them. :) Remember, there's a discount even with the first record and it just keeps getting better the more you shop. electronically yours, jesper --- June 1st 2010: "Oh God, it's raining, but I'm not complaining..." ...instead I've spent the day adding a lot of new items. More specifically an entire box of vinyl 7" singles. Here are a few dozen rare Depeche Mode singles, and also cheap 80's hits, rare swedish minimal stuff etc. And if that isn't enough there are still plenty of goodies on the 12" shelves and in the CD carts so browse away! electronically yours, jesper --- May 2nd 2010: Hi, finally it's Spring and going fast towards Summer! (The kiwis and other friends far south will have to enjoy winter instead.) Many new items listed and many with added pictures and updated comments in the shop. Still give-aways available with larger orders and more items to come when my dayjob allows it. Also - the discount ladder is popular so I'm keeping it for now. Do get your friends together and save a lot on a combined order. electronically yours, jesper --- April 4th 2010: Hi everyone, I mistakenly took the passing weeks for Spring. Today the rain is pouring down and it's barely above freezing, even here in the south of Sweden. :( But, with my inside filled with Easter candy and an agenda filled with "must-do's" I've neglected the shop a little. Here are dozens of title waiting to be listed but that's what they'll have to do a few more weeks I'm afraid... The discount ladder is still alive and kicking and quite a few have realized the greatness with that and placed larger orders. Feel free to get a few discophilic friends together for a browse night and save even more on a combined order. Also, don't forget to mail wantlists and similar. Sometimes I have gems hidden on my shelves, waiting to be found. ...and do keep those fingers crossed for a warm spring! electronically yours, jesper --- March 5th 2010: Just a short note... The shop will be closed from Sunday evening (7/3 18.00 CET) until Monday morning (8/3 6.00 CET). This is due to a server checkup/move and nothing I can do anything about. I hope it won't cause any irritation. electronically yours, jesper --- March 1st 2010: Hi, the snow is melting away and today it peaked at +7 degrees Celcius here. Spring is coming my way... yes! I spent a week at home with my kids, during February break from school. That gave me time for updates of the shop too. I've added quite a bunch of new items along with sound clips of old classics and odd stuff. I guess I won't need to remind you of the discount ladder? The more you buy the greater the discount! How many record stores offer 50% on great music? Electronic Obsession soon celebrates eight years on the world wide web and in just days we'll welcome visitor number 1 000 000! Or like Click Click might've put it - One Millionth Happy Customer? Happy browsing! electronically yours, jesper --- February 1st 2010: Hi, new month again, but Winter is holding northern Europe in a tight grip. Sweden is still completely covered in snow. My energetic drummer boy turned four today - time flies... I've updated the list with more images of singles and also lowered a lot of prices on stuff that have been filling the shelves for a while. I keep running the "discount ladder" as mentioned in previous news letters as well as on the shop's first page. The more you buy, the more discount you get! Just ask if you can't do the math. The stock of giveaway CD's from Wonderland Records is emptied but my friends in swedish synthpop act Vision Talk kindly supplied me with ten copies of their debut album "Dirty Italo Disco" to give away with orders. I'm keeping one myself, but all orders above 400 SEK (after deducted discount) will receive a free copy as long as they last. First come - first served! What are you waiting for? Browse away! :) electronically yours, jesper --- January 1st 2010: Happy new year! - Gott nytt år! - Frohes neues Jahr! - Feliz año nuevo! - Hyvää uuttavuotta! - Godt nytår! - Bonne année! - Gelukkig nieuwjaar! - Buon anno! - Godt nytt år! and so on... Now you can order just a few light weight records and get cheaper postage or buy like a maniac without getting robbed on the postage. electronically yours, jesper --- December 18th 2009: Since I've received a few Q's regarding shipping of singles and CD's I've added a new weight category: 250 grams. Buy all the christmas gifts in one go or simply take the chance of filling all those gaps in the collection that you never got around to! Offer valid until the December newsmail... electronically yours, jesper --- October 4th 2009: Hi, I admit... when it comes to Electronic Obsession it's been a lazy month. I've recently got a new collection in but haven't had time to work my way through it. How I can compensate that? I guess some kind of discount or offer would be appropriate now... How about "50 on those below 50 if ordering above 50"? That is, I'll offer a 50% discounts on all records with a original price below 50 kronors if you order records above 50 euros. Did anyone follow that? Put whatever you like in the shopping basket and as long as you pass 50 euros (500 SEK/70 USD) you'll get a 50% discount (that's half folks!) on all ordered items below 50 SEK (5 EUR/7 USD). This offer is valid for orders placed and payed before the arrival of the November news mail. Don't forget that the old offer from Wonderland Records (see the news section on the site) is still valid, so here are a great opportunity to lay your hands on a lot of cheap records and add some brand new ones too while at it! electronically yours, jesper --- September 3rd 2009: Hi, Autumn is getting closer. The temperature is slowly dropping and the rain is pouring down... What can get the inner sun shining and add a positive spirit? Electronic music on disc of course! I've added plenty of good stuff the last month so go browsing and ignore the economic crisis for an hour or so. :) And a few word to the swedes: Jag åker regelbundet till Stockholm numera. Så du som är beredd att hämta på Söder och vill spara porto får gärna meddela att du hellre hämtar där. Happy shopping! electronically yours, jesper --- August 1st 2009: New month - new records! Biggest news this month is the EP with four previously unreleased tracks from Bal Paré! They were recorded back in 1981-84 but have reached vinyl for the first time this year. I've laid hands on a couple of factory new copies. The majority are pressed in the cool purple-pinkish vinyl and a few are blue. Get your own copy of this masterpiece now! I've also updated a lot of old records with images and took the liberty of lowering a lot of prices while at it. Check out the latest arrivals where you find these bargains too... I've still got a couple of the give-aways Wonderland Records supplied me with so order above 400 or 800 worth of SEK and get one or two records as mentioned in earlier news mails. electronically yours, jesper --- July 2nd 2009: Hi everyone out there in the heat and cheers to you down under too! It's awfully hot here in Sweden but I have had some time to update the shop with pictures, lowered prices on stuff that has been standing and also adding a few new vinyls. The friendly offer from Wonderland Records is still valid so do place an order above 400 or above 800 SEK and you'll get a single by Thermostatic or both the single and an album by Universal Poplab. There are more info in earlier news letters under news in the menu. Since it's vacations weeks I might not be as quick in my replies as I normally am, but please be patient, I will return with answer to your questions and with totals to your placed orders. Now, browse the news, electronically yours, jesper --- June 1st 2009: "In the summertime..." ...it's too boring just turning into burnt meat in the sun when you can stay indoors, browsing for records! :) I've upgraded the list with new arrivals and I've also dug through the carts with CD's and lowered prices and updated info. All this to help you helping me making room for new stuff. I'll also continue with the May offer: Spend 400 SEK (38 EUR or 54 USD) and you'll receive a brand new copy of Thermostatic's CDM "Private Machine" (wondert12). Spend 800 SEK (76 EUR or 108 USD) and you'll _also_ receive Universal Poplab's CD "Uprising" (wonderu12)! Check out www.wonderlandrecords.com/ex to hear and know more about these releases. There are also a bunch of free mp3's. Please notice: If these bonuses add to the weight it might have effect on postage. I'll update the news section with a note when the stock runs out. electronically yours, jesper --- May 3rd 2009: Hi, with the warmest Spring ever in Sweden behind us I'm back with a slightly delayed news mail... I've added a few new items and there are more goodies to come, hopefully in the next week. The April offer is hereby ended but is replaced with a new one, valid as long as stock lasts. In collaboration with my old record collecting pal Sebastian at Wonderland Records this month's offer includes the following: Spend 400 SEK (38 EUR or 50 USD) and you'll receive a brand new copy of Thermostatic's CDM "Private Machine" (wondert12). Spend 800 SEK (76 EUR or 100 USD) and you'll _also_ receive Universal Poplab's CD "Uprising" (wonderu12)! Check out www.wonderlandrecords.com/ex to hear and know more about these releases. There are also a bunch of free mp3's. Please notice: If these bonuses add to the weight it might have effect on postage. I'll update the news section with a note when the stock runs out. electronically yours, jesper --- April 1st 2009: Hi, I've decided to stop selling records and will donate the entire stock to the Salvation Army and then head for a trek in Siberia... ...not! April fools day is stupid though I enjoyed a few of the music oriented pranks I've read today. Moog Music's for example. This one however is not one of those jokes. This is the truth: Until the May newsletter you'll get 25% off all CD's ordered. This applies to all orders placed and payed during April 2009 and does not include shipping and not for orders with discounted shipping. I've been busy with both work and love so updates have been scarce... but until you've realised how much goodies I have left I won't feel embaressed! :D electronically yours, jesper --- March 1st 2009: Hi... New month and new records. A bit of an Eddie Bengtsson extravaganza in the news section this time. With just minutes to midnight my head is too focused on sleep to come up with anything else except: Happy browsing! electronically yours, jesper --- February 1st 2009: Hi everyone and I hope 2009 has treated you well this far?! I've added a few new goodies and cleared out a bunch of old ones but yes, I could better. Therefor... I offer a 1% discount (up to 30%) on every 100 SEK (circa 9 euros/12 USD) you spend in the shop until the next news letter. This means that spending 100 and paying 99 might not sound tempting, not even spending 500 and paying 475 maybe, but spending 3000 and paying 2100 might. And if not, please ignore me. "See" you again in March if not sooner. electronically yours, jesper --- January 1st 2009: Happy new record collecting year 2009! First of all I want to mention my programmer Jonk again. Finally he got some time to sort out what has been known as the "DM issue" between me and some of you guys. Now you should be able to see _all_ Depeche Mode records again and not just the first half - thanks Jonk! Please note that the page might load a little bit slower the first time... Second: I finally got around to a forgotten box of goth CD's in a shelf. Some have already been reserved but there is still plenty among the news so do browse away if that tickles your senses... Third: In the wake of the messy financial situation in the global market the swedish kronor is dropping towards both euro, dollar, pound and danish kronor (and a bunch of other currencies) and I've edited the exchange rates to reflect this. So if you haven't, try browsing the site in euro-mode or dollar-mode by switching under "prices" in the menu. Also, the swedish post is raising their fees but it looks like will be able to keep my shipping fees at their current level. Now, enough said I think - check out the news, or the old for that matter. electronically yours, jesper --- December 3rd 2008: New month and a bit late with this mail so it'll be a short one... I've added quite a neat batch of vinyls and CD's this time. I hope you'll find a few goodies and maybe a X-mas-, Hanuckah-, Yuletide- or midvinterblot gift for a friend or loved one. ;) electronically yours, jesper --- November 1st 2008: Hej! Winter is closing in, at least here in the north among the polar bears. ;) Tonight was the first night below freezing so I take that as a good frame for this newsletter. I've added some new records and pictures to some older ones. Don't forget to let me know if there are tracks you'd like to hear clips from and I will put that on the "to do list". As always, there are lot of records not in the list yet. Let me know if I should dig for something special... electronically yours, jesper --- October 1st 2008: Hi everyone... The last month was hectic for me in every way except when it comes to Electronic Obsession. But I have added a bunch of photos to parts of the old stock that still lacked such and there are also a couple of new additions. I hope to add more soon. But as always, there are plenty of goodies here still to be discovered. Enjoy the search and don't hesitate to ask if you have any questions! electronically yours, jesper --- September 1st 2008: Hi everyone! Autumn has officially reached the northern hemisphere though the temperature is still at summer levels here. I've added a bunch of new discs since last mail and this time I've also started digging into the pile of CD's that has accumulated on my shelves. More to come soon I hope, since I've prepared the photos and uploaded them... Also, some news that I've mentioned in the news section but not officially in a mail before; There's a new payment option added! Electronic Obsession is now registered with moneybookers.com which should be good news for those in parts of eastern Europe and other places where Paypal isn't an option. The cost of this service is the same as with Paypal, 5%, but I only charge 4% since Moneybookers charge you 1%. Contact me if you have any questions about how this works. Now - hit my virtual crates to grab some goodies! :) electronically yours, jesper --- August 24th 2008: New payment option added! Electronic Obsession is now registered with moneybookers.com which should be good news for those i parts of eastern Europe and other places where Paypal isn't an option. Contact me if you have any questions about how this works. --- August 1st 2008: (I know I misspelt Celsius in the mail - what kind of swede am I, really?) --- Yes! Finally, my vacation is here and I started it by working and then continued with being ill. On top of that it's 30 degrees Celsius... :( But now most things are better and they've even promised more modest and normal swedish temperatures next week. So, I'm here with a news mail to let you know I've updated the shop with fresh new items and there are still more to come. Mostly vinyl, but here are CD's waiting so bear with me... electronically yours, jesper --- July 2nd 2008: The free shipping deal below concerns orders including just CD's. I'm sorry if I confused anyone. If you send a mixed order but the CD's orders reach the stated level they won't have any effect on the shipping. You only pay the price for shipping the vinyls. electronically yours, jesper --- July 1st 2008: (I know, it said June in the mail) Hi everyone, summer is here and as usual things has moved a bit slow in the heat. But I've lowered the price on a bunch of CD's and with a new batch arriving the other week I need space. :) The old offer is hearby ended, but I feel the need to replace that with something good for you CD-geeks since there has been so few updates for you recently... Order CD's for more than 250 SEK/30 EUR/40 USD and the postage is FREE! Only valid until the next newsmail. electronically yours, jesper --- June 9th 2008: I've been a bit slow at answering mails and keeping the guestbook clean of spam because I've been ill and mostly in bed. :( But hopefully that'll change now... electronically yours, jesper --- June 1st 2008: Hi, summer has hit Sweden and the thermometer is peaking at 29 degrees Celcius here in my living room. This is not for me - I'm swedish! :D Today a large selection of CD's arrived so I've continued the work of lowering the prices of the current CD stock to make room. Along with these there are also a number of new vinyls listed too. ...and remember the CD offer is still valid! Buy CD for 1000 SEK/100 EUR/150 USD and you'll get a 25% discount on the total. Happy browsing, electronically yours, jesper --- May 1st 2008: New month and a new newsletter! During today (May 1st) I expect the visitors counter to pass half a million visitors since the launch in 2002. To celebrate this I'm going to send autographed and dedicated copies of the two Electronic Obsession releases along with the order hitting the half a million number or the one closest to it. But don't ask me if you made it, I won't tell. You have to see what's in your parcel... :D I've just listed a huge bunch of vinyls, still standing here beside me so do browse the news and don't forget that there are a lot of goodies among the "old" stock too. I've added quite a few clips to give an idea about what the songs are like. But please remember that these are mp3's in 64kbps/mono and does not represent what a real record sounds like. (If you're in the northern hemisphere that is.) electronically yours, jesper --- March 1st 2008: Just a few weeks short of six years online, here's the March news from Electronic Obsession! I sound like a scratched record but I still feel the need to say this anyway; I have more to list and so little time, but bear with me and I keep the good stuff coming. :) To celebrate or comfort or whatever... Place an order exceeding 1000 SEK/100 EUR/150 USD and pay it before the next newsletter and get a 25% discount. electronically yours, jesper --- February 1st 2008: After soon six years online I'm drawing close to half a million visitors - amazing! It's been a hectic month so there hasn't been a lot added I'm sorry to say... but I plan to do better during February so don't despair. It's not lack of records that's stopping me, it's time... Let me know if there's a particular record you'd like to hear a clip from and I'll get to it asap. As always I have other priorities since this isn't my day-job or family, but I try to serve both orders and questions as quick as possible. Normally on a daily basis. Enough said... Let's see what 2008 has in store for us! electronically yours, jesper --- December 2nd 2007: Hi! December is here, my crappy old Volvo has it's winter tyres on so now it's just the update of Electronic Obsession left to convince me that December is here... I've added new stuff and spent a lot of hours adding sound clips and pictures too so... browse away and don't hesitate to ask is there is any doubts. Merry christmas, happy Hanukkah or whatever you're celebrating or avoiding! electronically yours, jesper --- November 1st 2007: Hi bleepers and stompers! It looks more like a rule than an exception these days, so let's stick to the trend and get the news mail out at the beginning of a month instead... I thought I hadn't had time with many updates since last mail, but man, was I wrong. There's a lot of good stuff in many genres and a lot of old gold at very humane prices. electronically yours, jesper --- October 1st 2007: Rainy days and gloomy skies... So here's the news update from Electronic Obsession. It's supposed to be a September update but time flies and a lot of boring technicalities of my everyday life stopped it from being sent last week. This because of normal activity on Yahoogroups, but hopefully it'll be sorted out in no time. But in the meantime, if you don't get my mails, be assured that I haven't disappeared, it's just that your mailprovider might be blocking mail from IP-addresses listed at spamcop. It's indian summer here in the south of Sweden but I'm still having a cool relationship with my web hotel. Still hoping that they'll fix this problem 'cause it's so messy to move. Be prepared for some down periods the coming month too. If I stay it may be that they fix it soon. If I pick another hotel it often takes a few days for everything to be up and running. Over to more positive subjects - there are plenty of new things in the list and still more to come since I bought three carts full of vinyl the last week... Check the "latest additions" under the "artists a-z" tab in the menu. I especially recommend some releases by my good friends at 4MG records and Annalogue records and the previously unheard stuff by Click Click and why not a complete album by minimal electronic act Camera Obscura - recorded back in 1983! electronically yours, jesper --- 22nd of September 2005: Cannot really recommend my web hotel right now since the down periods keeps coming... :( I'm trying to get them to understand that this is not working out, but it's hard since they reach the site from their system (in the same building I guess). Keep your fingers crossed, I do 'cause a move is messier and I hate to do it unless I'm forced to... --- 29th of August 2005: It's been a hectic month... The site has been more down than up due to some error on the server that was out of my control. But now it seems to be up and running again so I dare send out this newsletter to all swedes with tax refund kronors and paycheck burning in their pockets! ;) But also to the rest of you fanatic electroheads! Bob Moog died on the 21st of August after a short time of illness. :( But the music won't die so be sure to play some analogue tunes on your hifi system unless you haven't already. I've added plenty of CD's this time, and updated the old stock with tonnes of new sleeve shots. Along with this there are many new vinyls too so don't despair. I'll do my best to keep'em coming the upcoming month too... Remember that the 25% off for visitor number 111111 is still valid, due to the site downtime I guess... This in combination with me repainting our kitchen has delayed this month's update... Thanks to Elise who pointed out to me that the shopping cart was malfunctioning the other day. Now it's back to it's former self again. Like Music For Pleasure would've put it; "the human factor"! I've kept adding stuff for that collection I bought along with pictures of the "old" stock. He also happens to be one of the more or less in-house DJs at the legendary, but now closed, club Stadt Hamburg in Malmö so you can imagine there were some goodies among the records! I've been busy taking pictures and updating the latest arrival-section so if you're into old EBM and other classic, make sure to visit: http://www.electronic-obsession.se/news There are many autographed items too if such stuff get your juices flowing. I became nostalgic too since I remember getting many of my own records autographed at the same time and this guy borrowed my pens a lot. So I can guarantee that they are genuine as well... Enjoy! electronically yours, jesper --- 25th of January 2005: Hi everyone! A new year is here with promises, minus degrees, a car that refuses to start but also plenty of new items in the Electronic Obsession shop. Check out the news at: http://www.electronic-obsession.se/news I'll continue to add new stuff and update old stock with pictures and additional info for all you greedy collectors... if you run into an item with a picture that doesn't match the object, please let me know. I know there are some faulty ones up there. Found a Bananarama video illustrating a Die Form record... ;) electronically yours, jesper --- 22nd of December 2004: Merry christmas and a happy new 2005 with a lot of new cool music in your collections! I've spent December not only worrying about which presents to buy but also irritating my programmer (thanks Johan!) with minor alterations in the look and function of the site and also by adding new records with images and adding images accompanying older stock. All the updates can be found by clicking on "artists a-z" and then "latest additions" or by using this link: http://www.electronic-obsession.se/news (if it doesn't work, cut and paste) The swedish post has threatened to raise the postage (AGAIN!) and afaik this will take place in February, so if you have so bigger order to place, do it now! Enjoy the holiday, I will! This also means that I probably won't answer mails until the following five days. electronically yours, jesper --- 22nd of November 2004: Hi everyone... It's with sadness and anger that I've learned that someone on this list have reported me for spamming and this has resulted in me being kicked out of my web hotel. This is not spam, I only send mail to those who have asked for info or ordered from me before. At the end of this mail you'll find a direct link where you can unsubscribe. Please do so if you don't want to receive these updates and please, don't mess up my web space. More info on all this later in the mail for those interested. Well, I've moved to a new home and will reside here with the same address as before: www.electronic-obsession.se. I have only done minor upgrades and both work and other duties are to blame but I will do better and here is a lot of records to list. Let me know if you're looking for something in particular. A few words regarding the messy move: www.cliché.se was the host before (until 1st of October) but without a word of warning they simply threw me out. When I called them, they only referred to the spam complaints they've received and wasn't into listening to what I had to say. I even offered to take down the entire mailing list resulting in no one getting the updates. Cliche simply put it - "We don't want you back." So, I was out in the cold. It took a week before the site was up and running again with the correct address. I'm sorry if this caused any trouble for you, faithful costumers. Now everything is running as before and if this mail arrives in your inbox the last piece of the puzzle is in place. This whole mess is the reason for you not receiving any update mail last month. Hugs and kisses or whatever to Anders who hosted me temporarily and still does a great job relaying these mails and to Johan, my faithful web slaving friend who sorted out all the tech issues as always. I can only ask you kindly - please, complain to me and I'll remove you from the list if the automatic link doesn't seem to work below. electronically yours, jesper --- 30th of September 2004: Autumn is here, at least for those of us living in this side of the equator... I've updated the pages with many gradings of singles and some other items along with deleted orders so do check out the news section: www.electronic-obsession.se/news I've put "hot tip" on ice since there hasn't been that huge interest in it. I will probably return to it in time, but now I need to prioritize the updates. I have plenty of CDs and also some vinyl to add... All you who have sent me want lists prior to august this year, can you resend? Our computer caught a virus due to some (not anymore) friend of my wife... As mentioned before, now I can a lot easier accept bank transfer from european countries due to better and cheaper bank routines. There is always paypal for the rest of you foreign costumers... Keep blipping in the autumn of 2004! electronically yours, jesper --- 26th of August 2004: (80's mode on) *piouw, piouw* (80's mode off) It's been a terrible summer. First it just rained and rained and rained... then there was no rain for like a month. And in the middle of all this my hard drive died. No to more fun topics... www.electronic-obsession.se has been updated with a neat bunch of factory new and still sealed CD's and a lot of 7" singles has been added too... Check out the news section here; www.electronic-obsession.se/news or simply go to the site and browse using the search engine... electronically yours, jesper --- 26th of July 2004: Hi everyone! One of the hard drives in our computer died on us yesterday. With it went the OS, programs, mail settings, address books etc... :( Because of this my response to mails might be slower than usual but don't despair, a new drive is ordered and hopefully I'll be reachable soon again. The cheapest is free! If they all cost the same this means a 25% sale on the entire CD stock! This offer is valid until the end of August and you have to claim it, i e I only want to give it as offer to you, receivers of these update mails. How to claim it? Just send me a mail to the mentioned address above or write "4 for 3" somewhere in the ordering info... Yes, you can order 8 and pay for 6, 12 and pay for 9 etc. electronically yours, jesper --- 27th of May 2004: Hi! It's payday in Sweden, the sun is shining and I still have one day left of my days as a full time dad. Life could be worse! ;) I've added a lot of new stuff in the list including many coloured vinyls and live recordings by our dear Depeche Mode. And don't forget to check the new hot tip! --- January 1st 2004: Hi everyone and a happy new 2004 with tonnes of great stuff added to your collection! Electronic Obsession has now been around for ten years. It was in the winter of 1993 that I went through my Depeche Mode collection to sell of some of the stuff I didn't need. And now we're here, ten years later... scary, isn't it! I had a night of insomnia a few days ago and spent those hours in front of the screen updating both the database with new records and also the "hot tip" page with a few new track samples and a couple of words from your humble master of taste. ;) The Hot Tips you find in the menu on the left and the news under "Artists A-Z" and then "latest additions" or simply by clicking here; http://www.electronic-obsession.se/news All the Electronic Obsession records have been unpacked after our move and is now installed on their new shelves and I'm here, fit for fight and ready to take your orders. I'm online again. The entire stock and collection survived the business of moving from flat to house. Thanks to those of you on the list that participated in this sweat pumping exercise (phew, vinyl is heavy!)! I haven't updated the list with many new things, but since the server messed up the September news there might be surprises still under www.electronic-obsession.se/news. Hopefully the net service will be better from now on (if you pay peanuts you get primates...). I will take pauses from the whining daughter and fixing up the house and update the online catalogue in the next few weeks so keep dropping by - that's my advice... And don't forget checking "hot tip" which you find in the menu on the first page... One last question from me to you - has anyone saved the August news letter? I want the page intact, but stupid me has misplaced it and now the news section looks amputated. Please mail it to me if you have it around the hard disc... --- September 29th 2003: Hi everyone! This month have had few updates on the homepage... Why? Because we (me and my wife and daughter) have packed up all our junk and is moving to a new home. With us comes the entire Electronic Obsession stock and it will take a few weeks to unpack, find everything and also get a new internet connection. Hopefully all will be sorted out in four weeks time or so, so if you place an order now, you won't have to pay until the end of October! A "buy now, pay next month-sort of thing". "Hot Tip" however has been updated, this month with Robert Marlow and if you haven't checked out his music before you'll have a chance now... All orders placed and dealt with when this is written will be delivered as promised. All orders placed after the arrival of this mail will have to wait until I'm back online. Visit the page, browse the list, order - but remember that I may be hard to reach within the coming month. --- August 25th 2003: Hi Everyone! A lot has happened since last month. Electronic Obsession has moved to it's new location at www.electronic-obsession.se and a couple of new features have been added; * Hot Tip is a new section which is a sort of "record of the month" with mp3 sample, brief history and a matching picture. You find it in the menu on the left on the site. Every month a new Hot Tip will be added for your listening pleasure. On the page there are also direct links to the record(s) that contains the track in question. If you don't want to risk it (or them) getting sold, go there directly! * Many have asked about my own release, Machinepop and therefor that too now has two one-minute samples of the tracks on the single. Surf, click, listen, enjoy, buy... or whatever! ;) * Exchange rates have dropped making it cheaper for you in Euroland or the US. * All addresses are new, so update bookmarks and address book. Questions can be asked at jesper@electronic-obsession.se and orders are placed online as usual. * But most important of all - I've added loads of new stuff in the news section which you can access directly here; www.electronic-obsession.se/news or reach by clicking "artists A-Z" in the menu and then "latest additions". WELCOME! --- July 28th 2003: Hi everyone! The summer has been hot this far (at least here in Sweden), but now it has cooled off a little. And just in time for the paycheck (isn't this a strange coincidence?) Electronic Obsession is back with updates and information. As usual all newly added items can be found by clicking on "artists a-z" and then "latest additions" or, for the lazy bunch, by following this link; http://obsession.svart.nu/news but then you risk to miss all the good stuff NOT among the news... Electronic Obsession will in the near future move to a new server. If all goes according to plans the site will just be offline one day, but noone really knows when a computer decides to disagree with the plans... ;) At the launch of the "new" site, there will be some new features too, including sound...! --- June 30th 2003: "Hot town, summer in the city..." The website has been updated with a bunch of new (well second hand) items. Check them out here; http://obsession.svart.nu/news but still don't forget all the other goodies you might have missed here; http://obsession.svart.nu Browse the page, write a few words in the guestbook, spend your summerjob money... ;)Enjoy the vacation! --- May 28th 2003: Summertime - Hot Nights Fever! April was too hectic in my private life and EO had to suffer... no updates were made and no mail sent. But now I'm back and have added a bunch of new items to the list. Check the "latest additions" under the "A-Z" tab. The last few days the server was messy but hopefully it will do it's job when you pop in for an order! ;) Take care during your vacation/holiday... --- March 23rd 2003: Springtime and anniversary! Electronic Obsession on the web celebrates one year the 24th of March! To honour this I'll give a 20% discount on all compact discs and magazines ordered (and payed!) before the end of April 2003. For you vinyl lovers I've added more than 100 new items this month and there are quite a few goodies as you easily see if you use this link; http://obsession.svart.nu/news All you who have ordered from EO the last twelve months and haven't subscribed to this newsletter I've put up for subscription. If you want to be removed, just let me know or simply do it yourself on the page (see below). I hope you didn't mind the rudeness?! ;) --- February 25th 2003: Busy month so I haven't had time to add as much as I wanted to, but there are 60 new items this far and I promise more in the coming month! Browse the site or be lazy and use this link to the news; http://obsession.svart.nu/news I and my faithful programmer has more updates to bring, but you'll have to wait and see! --- January 19th 2003: Hi and happy new year to all of you! Since it's drawing close to payday in Sweden I'm back with an update. ;) I have two major news for this months mail, one good and one lousy. The good - I've added 100 new items which you find in the news section (http://obsession.svart.nu/news) but also inside the list offcourse! The bad - the swedish mailing service has changed their prices quite radically - especially for you abroad costumers. Economy shipping is no longer an option. But I don't want to scare you - compared to many other online stores I think you find the prices or stock good enough to make up for that...?! If you want to make yourself heard to the swedish post about this you can mail them using this page: http://www.posten.se/popup.jsp?PageName=Service&PopupTpl=vitpopup_tpl.jsp&Se rviceURL=/foretag/kundservice/synpunkter/syn1_1.jsp?val=k Swedish on the page, but I think you understand what to do... ;) Or... if you want so send a plain mail of hate - here's the address: kundtjanst.privat@posten.se --- December 18th 2002: Merry christmas everyone or as we say in the official Electronic Obsession language - God Jul! I realise I won't get the time to add any new records in time for payday this month. How can I make this up to you then? How about 10% on all order placed before christmas? Take your chance to complete that long awaited order now and save as much as you want... ;) My vicious little webbie, the fabulous Jonk, keeps nagging that I've posted the wrong link to the news page, here's the right one... (I hope); http://obsession.svart.nu/news --- November 22nd 2002: Hi! November is here and so is the snow in some part of this piece of dirt we call Sweden. I've updated the list with several new things incl CD's, LP's and singles, large and small. As always you can go directly to the section with new stuff here: http://obsession.svart.nu/a-z.asp?Letter=news or you can browse the catalogue as a "normal" person! ;) Get that wicked collectible for your pal, that cute and romantic tune for the girl or boy of your dreams or buy your stepmother some S.P.K. or Die Form! Here is still a lot more to come so be sure to return before christmas... My own release and also band Machinepop will be featured on a Canadian compilation in early 2003. So if you haven't bought the two-track demo yet, make sure to do that now when I'm heading towards stardom! ;) --- October 22nd 2002: Hi! Congratulations to Antonio from Malmö, Sweden for being costumer no 10000 and thereby receiving a 25% discount off his order! Today I updated the site with a whole bunch of new stuff, several with images as well. Cool 80's stuff and wicked collectible stuff. To go directly to the news section use this link: http://obsession.svart.nu/news As always, I'm here to answer your questions and to pack your orders. Take care and keep blipping! --- September 25th 2002: Hi, here are the September news from Electronic Obsession! The last month I've added a bunch of records to the list as well as a daughter to my family. ;) To find these new records - simply go to the "a-z page" and click on "latest additions" or follow this link: http://obsession.svart.nu/news which takes you directly there. Why not use that as your start page? To celebrate the fact that the Electronic Obsession online store soon have had 10 000 visitors I plan to offer mr, ms or mrs 10 000 a 25% discount on all records ordered at that particular visit! Look at the bottom of the "home" page to see which number you have got. There are still plenty of stuff lying around here that's needs to be added. Keep your eyes opened for them! --- August 26th 2002: My dear programmer has fixed a neat news function. If you go to the "artists a-z" page you find a link called "latest additions" - there you find all that. A good way to keep updated if you visit the page from time to time. I just added a bunch of new stuff - mostly british 80's things but also a whole bunch of older electronic magazines now deleted on the market. Check them out too! As mentioned earlier - make sure to check out the images which are attached to some of the rarer things... There are more in the pipeline - new functions on the site and new records to be added... Enjoy! --- July 16th 2002: New items uploaded by: A Split-Second, Invincible Limit, Sigmund & Sein Freund, Depeche Mode, Falco, Dead Or Alive, O.M.D., In Sutto Voce, Viva!, Yazoo, Smiths, Killing Joke, Laibach, Pete Shelley, Communards, Ege Bam Yasi, Fini Tribe, Joachim Witt, Heaven 17, Armageddon Dildos, Test Department, Trisomie 21, Anne Clark, Electric Theatre, Christian Death, Skinny Puppy, Overlords, Shock, Liaisons Dangereuses, Hard Corps, Invincible Spirit, Cassandra Complex, Clock DVA, And One, Borghesia, Clan Of Xymox, Silent Circle, Modern Rocketry, Pig, Celebrate The Nun, Esplendor Geometrico, Code Industry, The Arch, Data-Bank-A, Robert Marlow, Ronny, Kraftwerk, Xymox, Excellent Accident, Christof Glowalla, Bakterielle Infektion, Die Form, Nuns, Play Dead, Sisters Of Mercy, Laibach, the Cure, The Normal, John Foxx, Fad Gadget, Thirteen At Midnight and die Doraus und die Marinas. Hopefully everything is back and working now. One thing that still seems to haunt me is the mailinglist så I can only urge you to drop by to watch upgrades. It doesn't seem to do as I want as things are now... --- May 2002: Due to the mailing list not functioning properly I'd like to mention - we're working on it. But please drop by the site to keep updated. Almost 200 records added the last two weeks! Regarding paypal, I'm forced to charge a 4% fee from now on to cover my costs at paypal. But see it positive - it still is a superb and cheap way of sending money if you doesn't live inside Sweden! ;) Now I accept paypal, so if you're an international costumer this can be a convenient way of sending payments if you have a credit card such as Visa etc. Please bear in mind that no payment should be sent before you receive confirmation from me regarding the order. More info on www.paypal.com --- March/April 2002: Since the whole site is new - everything must be considered news. If you're an old costumer of mine you can enjoy the 200 or so new records and if you're new to Electronic Obsession here are 2000 titles to browse! Jonk and I have done our best to get everything working as we want it to, but we still want to throw in a reservation against minor flaws and problems. The swedish word "brasklapp" ought to have a better translation into english if you ask me... OPENING OFFER! All info about that can be found on the homepage which you'll come to by clicking on home at the left. |
